Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Ty Wilde Real Estate is committed to making newhomesprescott.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe homebuyers should be able to research new construction, compare communities, and contact an agent without barriers — regardless of how they access the web.
Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the standards used by the U.S. Department of Justice and most major accessibility regulators worldwide.
What We've Done
- Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer).
- Unique aria-labels on desktop and mobile nav landmarks; announcement banner wrapped inside the banner region.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, forms, and interactive components.
- Visible focus states on every interactive element.
- Copper brand color darkened to #B84800 to achieve ≥4.5:1 contrast on white and on charcoal-dark backgrounds.
- Body-copy inline links carry always-visible underlines, not hover-only.
- Descriptive alt text on community photos and informational imagery.
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons, SVG logos (including Equal Housing Opportunity), and the quiz progress bar.
- Form fields with explicit labels, honeypot spam guard, and inline error messaging.
- Captioned video tours where the source provides captions.
Known Limitations
We are actively working on the following areas where we know we have not yet reached our target:
- Some embedded third-party content (Google Maps, Matterport tours, YouTube videos) inherits the accessibility of the originating service. We link to alternative formats (text addresses, written community descriptions) wherever possible.
- A small number of older builder PDFs (brochures and floor plans) are not yet fully tagged for screen readers. We are requesting accessible versions from the builders and will replace them as they become available.
- The interactive home-finder quiz now carries an aria-label on its progress bar and announces step counts; further improvements to step-change announcements remain on the roadmap.
How We Test
We work toward WCAG 2.1 AA using a combination of:
- Automated accessibility tooling (axe-core, Lighthouse) during development.
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing.
- Screen reader spot-checks (VoiceOver on macOS / iOS, NVDA on Windows).
- Color contrast verification on all design system tokens.
Major releases (new templates, new lead-capture forms, new community pages) get an accessibility review before they ship to production. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome reports of any barrier you encounter.
Report a Barrier
If you encounter a page, feature, or interaction that prevents you from using this site, we want to know — and we will fix it. Please contact us with the URL, the device or assistive technology you were using, and a brief description of what happened.
